Pichwai
Experience the vibrant beauty of Pichwai, a traditional Indian painting style deeply rooted in the devotional culture of Nathdwara, Rajasthan. Originally created as large cloth paintings to adorn the temple space behind the image of Shrinathji, a form of Lord Krishna, Pichwai art combines spiritual storytelling with extraordinary decorative craftsmanship.
This artwork celebrates the natural and devotional imagery that makes Pichwai so distinctive. Krishna is portrayed among sacred cows beneath a flourishing tree filled with delicate blossoms, creating a peaceful scene that reflects the close relationship between divinity, nature, and everyday life. The rich greens, vivid reds, warm oranges, and deep blues give the painting a joyful and luminous character.
